The Board of Directors recently met to discuss the organization’s strategic plan and to set goals for the future success of this dynamic group of professional women. The Board concluded that amendments to AAWD’s Bylaws are highly recommended in order to differentiate between the Affiliate and International memberships and their separate roles. As an AAWD member in good standing, you unanimously voted YES to amend Article V, Section 2 B, of AAWD’s Bylaws. 

The new International Membership type is available to new members for the cost of $20.00 USD!

With the revised article, there are now two separate membership types: an International Membership and an Affiliate Membership.

International: Any licensed dentist outside the US or Canada may be elected into International Membership. This member shall have all the privileges and responsibilities of an Active Member, except those of voting and holding office. Such International members may be represented in special categories or committees that are established from time to time by the Board of Directors.

Affiliate: Any person who is supportive of the goals of the Association may be elected into Affiliate Membership. This member shall have all the privileges and responsibilities of an Active Member, except those of voting and holding office. Such Affiliate members may be represented in special categories or committees that are established from time to time by the Board of Directors.
