Innovative Speakers
Dania Tamimi, BDS, DMSc
Dr. Dania Tamimi is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial radiologist with a DMSc from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and an honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow). Dr. Tamimi is lead author of several imaging textbooks and serves on editorial boards for major dental journals. She lectures internationally and runs a private radiology practice in Orlando, Florida.
Session title: How to Read a CBCT – Looking at the Big Picture
This isn’t your typical radiology lecture. Dr. Tamimi takes a holistic, systems-aware approach to CBCT interpretation, exploring how craniofacial anatomy connects to the body as a whole. Shelly Short, RDH, MS, PhD
With 39 years in dentistry and nearly three decades in consulting, Shelly Short brings deep expertise in practice management, team communication, clinical efficiency, and holistic well-being. She has practiced in the U.S. and Europe, and currently teaches at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Shelly holds a master’s in nutritional sciences with an emphasis in health promotion and has consulted across the U.S. and internationally. An award-winning alumna and published speaker, her approach blends evidence-based strategies with a passion for professional and personal balance.

Katherine Brice, a 5th degree black belt and Student Doctor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, has 22 years of martial arts experience. She serves as President of AAWD, Chief Innovation Officer at Qualitas Dental Partners, and CEO of Expert Dental Advisory. An award-winning educator and international speaker, she is recognized for her leadership, research, and clinical innovation in prosthodontics and dental technology. Dr. Suzie Bergman is President-Elect of the American Association of Women Dentists and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Pacific Northwest University. She serves as U.S. Director of Dental Education for Immersify Education and is a Fellow and Advisor for the TMJ Foundation. Dr. Bergman is also a Visiting Research Scholar at Oregon Health Science University and a consultant for Academic Health Associates. A recognized leader in interprofessional education and integration across medical, dental, and behavioral health, she lectures internationally on these topics. She earned her DDS from West Virginia University and holds advanced certificates in Orthodontics and Orofacial Pain.
