Speaker Bio:
Dr. Janice Wang attended dental school at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA, completing her DDS degree in 1995.Dr. Wang is a private practitioner focusing on implant dentistry, in her career she has placed over 4500 implants. She is an active member of the AAID and is passionate about helping more women dentists feel comfortable with implant placement in their own practices.

A nationally-renowned expert in physician wellness, Dr. Jill Wener has published several articles on KevinMD, led physician wellness programs around the country, and lectured at the national level on stress and the benefits of meditation and tapping. She has been interviewed on multiple TV and radio shows as well as podcasts (in the medical community and beyond). Jill is the co-creator of the ‘Harnessing Your Power: Your Mindful Midlife Toolkit’ digital course with Dr. Taniqua Miller. In addition to her online and in-person meditation and tapping programs, Jill leads meditation retreats all over the world.

Dr. Taniqua Miller is an assistant professor in the department of gynecology and obstetrics at Emory School of Medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is recognized as a national certified menopause practitioner for the North American Menopause Society. In addition to her clinical posts, Dr. Miller is a committed educator. She has been recognized by the Emory School of Medicine and the Association of Professors in Gynecology and Obstetrics for her teaching excellence and innovative curriculum development. She has also been recognized as a distinguished faculty by the Society of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is wife, mother of three children and one fur baby, and the founder of Girlfriend MD LLC, a women’s health lifestyle brand.

Nominations are now open for the 2022 AAWD Jeanne Hansen Bayless Federal Services Award and Uniformed Services Award, which recognize the lifetime achievements made by an AAWD member dentist in the uniformed services and federal services arenas.
The AAWD Federal Services Award is presented to a woman dentist who has made outstanding achievements in the Federal Services arena as an advocate or dental officer and exhibits role model qualities that positively reflect the image of women dentists and commitment to the profession.
The AAWD Uniformed Services Award is presented to a woman dentist who has made outstanding achievements in the federal services arena as a uniformed dental officer—Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard or Retired—from one of the seven uniformed services of United States: Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, or the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Officer Corps. The dentist must also exhibit role model qualities that positively reflect the image of women dentists and commitment to the profession.
